Terms of Service

Last updated November 3, 2026

These terms are the rules for using the Summonn app and this website. By using Summonn, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Summonn.

Who can play

You must be at least 13 to use Summonn. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian needs to agree to these terms for you.

Your account

Keep your login safe and don’t share your account. You’re responsible for what happens on it. Pick a username that isn’t offensive and doesn’t pretend to be someone else.

Play safely

Summonn gets you outside, so please look after yourself, other people and animals:

• Watch where you’re going. Never play while driving or riding a bike.
• Stay on public paths and in places you’re allowed to be. Don’t trespass.
• Keep your distance from animals. Don’t chase, feed, touch or disturb them, and never put yourself in danger for a photo.
• Respect other people. Don’t photograph people without their permission.
• Follow local laws and park rules.

You’re responsible for your own safety while you play.

Your photos

Your photos are yours. When you snap an animal, you let us store, process and show that photo as needed to run Summonn, for example to identify the animal, make your card, and show it where you choose to share it. Only upload photos you took yourself.

Fair play

Don’t:

• Cheat, use bots, or snap photos you didn’t take yourself, like pictures of screens or from the internet.
• Harass, bully or threaten other players.
• Upload anything illegal, hateful, violent or sexual.
• Try to break, hack, copy or reverse-engineer the app.

We may remove content, reset progress or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Cards, badges and prizes

Cards, badges, levels and other in-game items are for fun. They have no money value, and you can’t sell them or trade them for money. As Summonn grows we may change the game, including how rare cards are.

Weekly hunts and prizes come with their own rules, which we’ll post with each hunt. Where a hunt’s rules differ from these terms, the hunt’s rules apply to that hunt.

Price

Summonn is free. If we ever add paid features, we’ll show the price clearly before you pay.

Changes and availability

We’re always improving Summonn, so features may change, pause or end. We’ll try to give notice of big changes, but we can’t promise the game will always be available or free of bugs.

Ending your account

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

Disclaimers

Summonn is provided “as is”. Animal identification is automatic and can be wrong, so don’t rely on it to decide whether an animal is safe to approach. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses that come from using Summonn. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we’ll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the changes are important. If you keep playing after the changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
